Patricia Jane Leet

Patricia Jane “Patty” Suffolk Leet, 79 of Marathon, passed away on July 4th, 2024 after a short illness.

Patty was born February 19th, 1945, in Massachusetts . She was pre-deceased by her parents Ralph and Esther Suffolk, and her siblings: Ruth Brown, Doris Thomas, Ralph “Jim” Suffolk, Barbara Crayton, and Carol White.

She is survived by her husband Charles “Chuck” Leet; daughter Penny (Gaius) Carter, of Midland, NC; grandsons Gaius N. and Zachariah; step-daughter Sherri (Richard) Beebe of Cortland; step-son Larri (Cheryl) Leet; step-granddaughter Megan (Brad) Potter; great-granddaughter Kendyl; step-grandson Eric (Jessica) Leet; great granddaughter Emily; and great-grandson Levi, all of Marathon. Patty is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly. 

Patty loved to garden, and preserve the fruits of her labor. She was always trying new vegetable seeds or flowers to plant. She was an excellent cook and baker. She loved animals; horses and Airedales, especially. Most of all, Patty loved her family.

Funeral services for Patty will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Marathon Memorial Chapel, 4071 State Route 221, Marathon, NY, with Reverend Tom Boice officiating. Burial will be in Parker Street Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the service at 1:00 p.m.
