Patricia A. Kirchner

Patricia A. (Jeffery) Kirchner, 87, of Marathon, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Mercy House Hospice, Endicott, NY, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on July 4, 1937, in Homer, NY, the daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick Jeffery, Pat, as she was known to her family and friends, lived a life dedicated to her family and community. She was a former member of the Marathon Firemen Ladies Auxiliary and was an avid bowler and reader. She started her professional journey at Mara-Cort in Cortland, NY, where she met her husband, Jerry and had a rewarding career at Marathon Central School, where she served as a bus driver and worked diligently in the cafeteria. She was affectionately known for her commitment to the children she transported and fed. Prior to her time at Marathon Central School, Pat was employed at Wilson Sporting Goods in Cortland, NY.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Rosemarie Fralick and Lisa Kirchner, along with her cherished 14 grandchildren, including Michelle (Jeffrey) Baldwin, Barry (Samantha) Fralick, Trichelle (Thomas) Feheley, Matthew Kirchner, Justin (Brandi) Kirchner, Ian Kirchner and Alyx (Sean) Ballard, all of whom she adored and nurtured throughout her life. She also leaves behind several great-grandchildren, too numerous to name and sister-in-law, Norma (James) Halderson.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Jerold Kirchner and their three children, Norman, Jody and Cheryl. She was also predeceased by her brothers Frederick and James Jeffery, and her son-in-law, Barry Fralick.

A graveside service to honor Pat’s life will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Marathon Cemetery with Reverand Tom Boice officiating. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Pat may be directed to Mercy House, 212 McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
