James H. Stevens

James H. Stevens, 71 of Marathon, NY, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024.

Jim was born in Cortland, NY on June 13, 1953, the son of the late Bertina Stevens. Jim had worked for Forkey Construction & Fabrication, Inc. for almost 20 years. His previous employers were Square Deal Machining, Inc, Buckley Oil, and XYZ Sanitation for 10 plus years.  Bowman Sawmill and Greek Peak were also other places of employment throughout his life.  

He is survived by his wife, Charlene, and his loving daughters Jaime (William) Allen of Marathon and Sara Luna of Center Moriches; grandchildren Daisy, Nicholas, Marissa, and Kristin; and a great-grandson, Luka. He is also survived by his siblings Bryon, Joseph, Sheila, Malcolm, Stephen "Butch", Darlene (Paul), and Jack (Nancy).

Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Bertina, and son, Dwight.  

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.  A celebration of his life will be held at the Marathon Civic Center on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
