Cheryl A. Kirchner

Cheryl A. Kirchner, 63, of Marathon, NY, entered through Heaven’s Gates on April 8, 2022. 

She was predeceased by her brothers Norman Kirchner and Jody Kirchner.

She is survived by her parents Patricia and Jerold Kirchner; her devoted children Trichelle (Tom) Feheley and son Ian Kirchner; and her most cherished blessing of all, her grandson Finnian.  She is also survived by her sisters Lisa Kirchner (Jim Boughton) and Rosemarie (Barry) Fralick; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Cheryl graduated from Marathon High School.  She retired from the Hess Corporation after working at and managing several stores.  After retiring she decided to return to school and in 2017 became a Certified Medical Assistant.  She had since then worked at Cayuga Medical Associates Orthopedics.

Cheryl enjoyed spending time with her family, going to dinner with friends, the special bonds she made with her coworkers over the years, her time coaching junior bowling, rooting for the New York Giants, and watching her favorite shows with her cats Hallow and Amun.

Cheryl’s family would like to thank Dr. Benjamin Donahue and the staff at Cayuga Medical Center for their care.

Her family will receive friends at the Marathon Memorial Chapel, 4071 State Route 221, Marathon on Thursday April 14, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at the Marathon Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers kindly consider memorial donations to the Cortland County SPCA.
